About JCI Mauritius CYEA

The JCI Mauritius CYEA award recognises creative young entrepreneurs, aged 18-40 years who have started a business using creativity in product development, service development and in their approach to the market. They have brought creativity to solve a problem or change a process to create positive change in their business operations.

  Our Objectives

  1. Recognising, celebrating and honouring creative young entrepreneurs residing in Mauritius;
  2. Provide potential entrepreneurs an appropriate platform for them to showcase the creative aspects of their business and their activities;
  3. Encouraging young entrepreneurs to think out of the box of regular business processes and bringing innovation in their daily routines;
  4. Supporting entrepreneurs who are making a real difference within the Mauritian economy and community at large;
  5. Encourage young entrepreneurs to reflect on their current strategies and processes and help them to be better;
  6. To honour creative young entrepreneurs;
  7. To promote and support business creativity and development;
  8. To develop a sense of entrepreneurship among active citizens aged between 18-40 in Mauritius.

Junior Chamber International Port Louis (JCI Port Louis) then known as Jeune Chambre Economique de Port Louis (JCEPL) operates since 1984 under the umbrella of JCI Mauritius which consists of 5 branches in all. Today, JCI Mauritius has approximately 200 members and is recognised at National and International levels as a model Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).


JCI Port Louis provides professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and students a pathway to advancement through education, mentoring, business networking, and services that enhance innovation, technical skills, business savvy and personal growth. Our most important work, however, is performed in our own respective communities, which we continue to serve. JCI believes that, as we make great strides forward, we must share our skills, our expertise and our vision at home, thus contributing to the advancement of our community.


JCI Port Louis’ vision joins JCI’s vision which is to create better leaders in order to have better societies. Our mission is to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.


JCI Port Louis is made of creative and bold leaders between 18 and 40 years old. Representing countless professions, we develop new skills while contributing to our community, laying new foundations, and establishing new businesses and social networks.
